It's cheap and good .
“Bulleit Bourbon uses only the highest quality ingredients and follows the 175-year-old recipe of Augustus. Bulleit Bourbon is produced with a high rye content and proprietary grains and yeasts.”
That's what the company says. As it turns out, this current receipe is only 7 years old. Apparently, it was created to compete with bourbons like Knob Creek, which are OK but, over priced. It's has the highest content of bourbons (30%). It's a bit sharpe but has a nice honey bite and leaves you with a nice oakey taste.
As an added plus, the bottle is awesome. My lame, grampa style puts everything in decanters. Yet, I leave this bottle out because it looks so cool.
I've seen Bulleit sell for $19-25 and have found it recently in grocery stores. That makes it easy if I need it in a pinch. Wow, that makes me sound like such an alcoholic.
